
Kota Kinabalu: Kota Kinabalu captured the Chief Minister Cup in the 35th Sabah Tennis Association Inter-Affiliates tournament that concluded at the Kota Kinabalu Sports Complex here on Sunday.
They made a clean sweep by taking all five titles at stake to take the overall title in the three-day competition with Sandakan finishing second in all five categories.
Keningau were third in the junior boys and girls categories. Third place in the men’s and women’s categories went to Kota Belud while Semporna took the third spot in the veteran’s category.
Sabah Tennis Association president Johnson Koh also congratulated Kota Kinabalu Tennis Association led by its president Datuk Idrus Shafie for the success in hosting the annual tournament.
