
KOTA MARUDU: Police is looking for a female suspect involved in a theft at a Secret Recipe outlet on July 20.
The incident, captured on CCTV, shows a woman in her 40s stealing a wallet and using the victim’s bank card.
The footage went viral on social media a few days later.
The victim’s daughter, Lieyana Masdin, shared details on Facebook about unauthorized purchases made with her mother’s card, totalling over RM900 at Guardian and Servay Jaya supermarket.

Kota Marudu District Police Chief Supt Zairolnizal Ishak confirmed receiving a report from the 59-year-old victim on the evening of July 20.
The case is being investigated under Section 380 of the Penal Code, with total losses estimated at RM2,500.
The stolen items include a light blue wallet containing cash, bank cards, a driver’s licence, a retirement card and the victim’s identity card.
The CCTV footage shows the suspect pretending to browse the menu targeting the victim’s bag.
She then quickly left the restaurant and was seen entering a white Proton Iswara parked nearby.
The victim didn’t notice the theft at the time due to the crowded restaurant.
