Björn Ramant KPop Demon Hunters LEGO Derpy sculpture

Fans of KPop Demon Hunters have another reason to admire Derpy Tiger, the film’s adorable feline spirit companion. A LEGO designer has recreated the character as a towering sculpture made from LEGO bricks, with the impressive build on display at LEGO World 2026 in Utrecht, the Netherlands.

The massive model showcases the level of detail and patience involved in large-scale LEGO art. The sculpture, inspired by Derpy from the animated film, was created by Björn Ramant, a self-employed LEGO designer based in Belgium. Previously a software architect, Ramant competed in the LEGO Masters building competition in 2020 before turning his passion for brick-built creations into a business called The Pieces Fit.

His work focuses on designing LEGO figures, and the Derpy Tiger sculpture demonstrates the scale and precision possible with the medium. The model is almost half Ramant’s own height and required four metal poles as internal supports to help bear its considerable weight.

How many LEGO bricks were used to build Derpy Tiger from KPop Demon Hunters?

Ramant used approximately 37,000 LEGO bricks to construct the Derpy Tiger sculpture. The project took around two and a half months, covering the entire process from sketching the design and selecting the necessary pieces to assembling the finished model.

The result is a large-scale interpretation of Derpy, the character from KPop Demon Hunters, recreated through carefully arranged LEGO elements. The sculpture’s size and structural requirements also meant that the build involved more than simply stacking bricks, with internal metal supports helping to keep the heavy model stable.

Where can you see the KPop Demon Hunters LEGO sculpture?

The Derpy Tiger sculpture is on display at LEGO World 2026 in Utrecht, the Netherlands. Visitors attending the event can see Ramant’s creation in person.

If travelling to Utrecht is not an option, a time-lapse video documenting the build offers a behind-the-scenes look at the sculpture taking shape. The footage captures the painstaking assembly process and highlights the amount of work involved in creating such a large model.

Can you buy a LEGO Derpy and Sussie set?

Fans looking for a smaller LEGO creation inspired by the film can also consider the LEGO Derpy and Sussie set. Unlike Ramant’s custom-built sculpture, this is a retail product designed for fans to build and display at home.
