
Kota Kinabalu: Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor received a courtesy call from Deputy Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives Minister Datuk Mohamad Alamin at Menara Kinabalu here on Thursday.
Mohamad said the meeting discussed collaboration between the Federal Government, through the Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives Ministry (Kuskop), and the State Government to strengthen the development of micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) and cooperatives in Sabah.
He added that Kuskop is assisting in providing trading spaces to expand business opportunities for hawkers and small entrepreneurs in Sabah, alongside efforts to empower the state's entrepreneurial and cooperative ecosystem.
Mohamad also invited the Chief Minister to officiate the closing ceremony of the three-day Karnival Hebatkan Perniagaan Malaysia Sabah Edition, scheduled to take place from Oct 23 to 25 here.
The event, expected to attract around 50,000 visitors, was also attended by Kuskop Deputy Secretary-General Datuk Saidatu Akhma Hassan, Malaysia Co-operative Societies Commission Chairman Lt-Gen (Rtd) Datuk Ahmad Norihan Jalal, and representatives from Tekun Nasional, Insken, Amanah Ikhtiar Malaysia, and Bank Rakyat.
