LAHAD DATU: The establishment of a One Stop Centre for children with special needs in this district demonstrates the State Government’s commitment to the wellbeing of the people, including those with special needs in Sabah.

Segama Community Development Leader (PPM) Datuk Mizma Appehdullah said the State Government is always committed to efforts to develop Sabah for the wellbeing of its people, particularly in providing necessities, such as this One Stop Centre.

AdvertisementMizma said the One Stop Centre for the Lahad Datu Special Children’s Association (Praise) is a commendable initiative that will serve as a hub for information and training for children with special needs.

She noted that the centre would also provide conducive facilities and an environment for these children.

“With the establishment of this One Stop Centre, children with special needs will be able to develop their potential and undergo appropriate training,” she said when met after officiating at the Praise House in Lahad Datu. She expressed her delight at the initiative that is capable of helping these special children.

Meanwhile, Lahad Datu District Officer Firuz Idzualdeen Mohd Dzul said that the State Government has allocated a sum of funding to establish a One Stop Centre for children with special needs.

“The establishment of this One Stop Centre will provide early education for children with special needs that supports their independence and development requirements,” he added.
