Landslide-hit areas from Mindanao earthquake cover nearly half the size of BGC

MANILA, Philippines — The Philippine Space Agency (PhilSA) identified approximately 137.87 hectares of land that have been potentially affected by landslides during the 7.8-magnitude earthquake that affected parts of southern Mindanao.

In a statement Saturday, PhilSA said that through satellite imagery, it identified several areas across different villages in Sarangani and Jose Abad Santos, Davao Occidental, that were affected by landslides, equivalent to more than half the land of Bonifacio Global City.
