
Dev Bandhu, an LLB student of St Soldier Law College, has qualified for the Haryana State Shooting Championship-2026 after scoring 268 out of 300 in the 5th Haryana Shooting Competition-2026.
A national-level marksman, he continues to bring laurels to the institution through his achievements in shooting. Hailing from Faridabad, Dev Bandhu is already a national-level player in the 10m Air Pistol category. Recently, he also added to the institution’s achievements by winning a silver medal in the Inter-College Shooting Championship-2026. He has also begun practising in the 25m pistol category.
College director SC Sharma stated that Dev Bandhu participated in the 25m Pistol Junior Men Individual and 25m Sports Pistol Youth Men Individual events, where he showcased talent, dedication and disciplined training. His achievement has brought pride not only to the institution but also to the entire region, he proudly said.
Dev Bandhu said that he acquired the passion to pursue law studies from his father, who is a Delhi High Court lawyer. “Shooting was introduced to me by my elder brother, who is also pursuing the same sport. Both of us have been practising at Dr Karni Singh Shooting Range, New Delhi. Before I started professional training, it was my brother who taught me about the finer nuances in the sport to achieve precision, focus and marksmanship”, he said.
Apart from shooting, Dev Bandhu actively participates in football, athletics and theatre activities, reflecting his versatile personality and all-around development. Congratulating him on this achievement, Sangeeta Chopra, chairperson of St Soldier Group, extended her wishes and encouraged him to continue striving through dedication and perseverance.
