Leapmotor’s C10 and B10 are now locally assembled in Malaysia, with prices from RM 118,800 and a new RM 500 physical key fob option.
STELLANTIS Malaysia has completed the localisation of its current Leapmotor line-up, with both the C10 and B10 EVs now locally assembled at the Stellantis plant in Gurun, Kedah.
The company invested €5.3 million, or around RM25 million, to develop local production capabilities and upgrade the plant’s production line and infrastructure. The C10 began local production earlier this year, with the B10 now joining it as the second Leapmotor model assembled in Gurun.
For the C10, local assembly also brings two new exterior colours, Violet and Lightning White, joining Canopy Grey and Glazed Green. Glazed Green is paired with a Camel Brown interior, while the other colours receive a black cabin.
The rear-wheel-drive C10 continues with a single electric motor producing 160kW, equivalent to 218PS, and 320Nm. Its 69.9kWh battery provides up to 424 km of WLTP range.
According to Stellantis Malaysia’s latest announcement, the locally assembled C10 is priced at RM125,000.
The B10 range has also been simplified with the move to CKD. The previous entry-level Life has been dropped, leaving only the Design variant at RM118,800.
Mechanically, the B10 Design remains unchanged. Its rear-mounted motor produces 218PS and 240Nm, while a 67.1kWh CATL LFP battery provides up to 434km of WLTP range.
DC charging is supported at up to 168kW, allowing a 30-80% charge in around 20 minutes, while AC charging is rated at 11kW.
Standard equipment includes an 8.8-inch digital instrument display, a 14.6-inch 2.5K central touchscreen running Leap OS 4.0 Plus, a panoramic glass roof, powered and ventilated front seats, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a 12-speaker audio system and a powered tailgate.
The CKD B10 is offered in four exterior colours: Starry Night Blue, Tundra Grey, Metallic Black and Light White. Dawn Purple from the previous CBU range has been dropped, while all four colours are now paired exclusively with a Dark Grey interior.
Leapmotor has also introduced an optional physical Remote Key Fob for both the C10 and B10. Priced at RM500 including configuration, it is available to new buyers as well as existing owners, offering conventional keyless entry as an alternative to accessing the vehicle through the key card or smartphone. The vehicle still needs either the key card placed on the centre console or a PIN to start.
Both locally assembled models are now available through authorised Leapmotor dealers nationwide. The C10 is priced at RM125,000, while the sole B10 Design costs RM118,800.
Stellantis Malaysia says both models are covered by an eight-year or 160,000km battery warranty.
