Leeds United captain Liam Cooper has lifted the lid on a new leadership group this season.

Speaking to the Official Leeds United Podcast, Cooper explained that a group of senior players, including himself, help their teammates with issues they might have and take them to the boss.

"We have a sort of leadership group, there's a few of the senior lads in there and we try to get together with Jesse [Marsch] every four to six weeks. Obviously if the lads have any issues, or small things in terms of training or travel, we'll see him.

"He's very approachable, he's always said since the start that you can come and see him about anything so I think the lads have really taken to that.

"I think if you're knocking on his door and you haven't been pulling your weight recently, it might be a different matter so you have to pick and choose your fights!"
