LABUAN: The Labuan Chinese Chamber of Commerce urged Malaysian Airlines (MAS) and MASWings to treat Labuan, which is a recognised international financial centre and a regional oil and gas hub, with importance and support by providing adequate and convenient air links.
“The limited air connectivity in the important Kuala Lumpur-Labuan (KL-Lab) and Kota Kinabalu-Labuan (KK-Lab) sectors has caused companies to be reluctant to hold meetings, etc, here, and their executives to reside in Kuala Lumpur.
“This was acknowledged by some financial centre players,” said its Chairman Datuk Wong Kii Yii.
