RASLAG Corp., a listed solar power developer and operator, said on Friday that its subsidiary, Raslag Liwayway Inc., has secured a certificate of authority from the Department of Energy (DOE) for its proposed solar power plant with a battery energy storage system in Santa Rosa, Nueva Ecija.
The certificate gives Raslag exclusive authority to secure permits and certifications for the exploration, development and use of solar energy resources within the designated area.
It also allows reconnaissance and other activities required for feasibility studies under the approved work program.
Valid for one year from issuance, the certificate allows Raslag to qualify for a solar energy operating contract, subject to compliance with DOE requirements.
Raslag targets commercial operations for the entire project by 2028.
Its shares closed at P1.12 each on Friday, down two centavos.
