A loyal dog led a police officer to its injured owner who had fallen at their home in Leawood, Kansas.
One of the officers was patrolling a residential neighbourhood when he spotted a dog standing in the roadway on Thursday, 17 September.
The officer noticed the dog was on a leash, but there was no owner in sight.
The officer followed the dog about half a block to its home, where he found the garage door open and the homeowner on the floor, unable to get up. The resident had been there for more than three hours.
“Thanks to the resident’s loyal companion, our officer was able to find them and get them the help they needed. The resident was treated by medical personnel and is now recovering safely at home,” Leawood Police Department said.
