Ludhiana MC officials said the focus is likely to be on city-specific concerns.

With the enumerators moving field to conduct door-to-door surveys as part of the Census, Municipal Corporation (MC) Assistant Commissioner Neeraj Jain, who also serves as Census Charge Officer, on Thursday conducted an inspection on Chandigarh road.

A team of officials, led by Neeraj Jain, interacted with the residents and urged them to cooperate with the enumerators.

The door-to-door surveys under the house-listing phase of Census started on May 15 and will continue till June 13. The residents were urged to provide accurate information as the data will help the Centre frame policies and welfare schemes for the residents.

If residents have submitted their housing details through self-enumeration, they only need to share the SE-ID with the enumerator. No documents or OTP would be demanded by the enumerators.
