Olympique Lyon director John Textor admits president Jean-Michel Aulas has asked him about selling Lucas Paqueta.
The Brazil midfielder is being linked with Arsenal and Tottenham.
Textor, who is also a director at Crystal Palace, said: “(Have you been consulted this summer on transfers? Are you a decision-maker?) No, but Jean-Michel Aulas is great. He informs me. They do a great job of knowing how the team will be in two or three years.
"I have details, but Jean-Michel didn't ask me: 'Should I sell Paqueta?' He's an important player and I don't make decisions.
“(Do you have a favorite player at OL?) This is a controversial question. He's a Brazilian. (Lucas Paqueta won't be for sale, then?) I didn't say it was him. There are a few (laughs)."
