It might feel early to think about the festive season, but the selection of supermarket Christmas food-to-order is already here. M&S is leading the charge with a festive menu designed to make hosting seamless, offering everything from bite-sized party nibbles to main course centrepieces and luxury desserts.
Officially opened on 22 September, its food-to-order offering this year includes plenty of mouthwatering treats, from dressed lobster to the new passion fruit and white chocolate yule log.
M&S doesn’t deliver its food-to-order range, so you’ll need to book a collection from your local store on 22, 23 or 24 December (21 December for selected stores). You should note the minimum spend is £50, which is the same amount as the deposit you’ll need to pay at checkout. Slots have filled up quickly in the past, so we recommend booking sooner rather than later.

First up, starters and sharers. New this year, there’s a lobster, king prawn and scallop thermidor en croutes (£30, Marksandspencer.com), dressed Canadian lobster and king prawn shells (£35, Marksandspencer.com) and wild salmon and smoked trout paté, which is from the Tom Kerridge range (£22, Marksandspencer.com). Elsewhere, the tear-and-share Christmas sausage roll garland is sure to be a party hit (£12, Marksandspencer.com), as will the prawn medley with paprika dressing and garlic butter (£30, Marksandspencer.com).

If you’re opting for turkey, the options include a turkey crown with Italian chestnut, pancetta and Calabrian orange stuffing (£70, Marksandspencer.com) but beyond this, the centrepieces include salmon side with orange, honey and bay leaf (£35, Marksandspencer.com), rolled sirloin and ribeye of beef roast (£110, Marksandspencer.com), and monkfish, Caledonian gold Scottish salmon and lobster Wellington (£100, Marksandspencer.com).
As for vegetarian and vegan dishes to look forward to, a butternut squash, brie and caramelised onion Wellington (£22, Marksandspencer.com) and a no turkey crown (£12, Marksandspencer.com) are among the options.

M&S Christmas side dishes
M&S has kept things more traditional for the sides offering with goose fat potatoes (£8, Marksandspencer.com), pigs in blankets with pork and Italian chestnut stuffing parcels (£16.50, Marksandspencer.com) and British heritage carrots (£8, Marksandspencer.com) on the menu. When is M&S Christmas food available?
M&S Christmas delivery slots are open, with orders ready to be collected from stores from 22 to 24 December. In terms of final order dates, M&S says that there isn’t one – but it’s worthwhile getting your orders in earlier rather than later.
