A driver who attempted to drive against traffic on a busy road was forced to reverse back into the correct lane after encountering a bus that refused to give way.
The incident, captured in a video shared online, has since sparked outrage among netizens over the driver’s dangerous behaviour.
Bus driver stands his ground
In the footage, a sedan can be seen driving against the flow of traffic on a congested road before coming face-to-face with an oncoming bus.
Rather than yielding, the bus continued moving forward, leaving the sedan driver with little choice but to slowly reverse.
The driver eventually backed up all the way into the proper lane after being unable to continue.
Driver sped off after brief confrontation
Towards the end of the clip, the bus driver appeared to lower his window, seemingly intending to speak to the sedan driver.
However, the driver did not respond and instead quickly sped off once space cleared.
The netizen who shared the video remarked that it was fortunate the sedan had encountered a bus, saying the driver might otherwise have succeeded in driving the wrong way while endangering other road users.
While the original post did not state where the incident took place, some netizens claimed the road is believed to be in an area where drivers have previously attempted similar manoeuvres to cut into Jalan Delima in Kuala Lumpur.
