A woman has sparked discussion online after claiming that her ex-boyfriend kept three years’ worth of receipts from their relationship, only to send them back to her after their breakup and ask her to settle her share of the expenses.
According to an anonymous online post, a woman shared her bizarre experience with her ex-boyfriend of three years.
He kept every receipt during their relationship
According to the woman, she and her ex-boyfriend had been together for three years.
Throughout their relationship, she noticed that he had one habit she always found a little strange.
Whenever they went out for meals, watched movies, travelled or went shopping, he would apparently take the receipt and keep it.
She said she once asked him why he always kept the receipts.
He just laughed and said it was a habit, adding that he liked keeping them as memories,” she claimed.
At the time, she thought he was simply sentimental and did not think much of it.
Three boxes suddenly appeared at her doorstep
Things only took an unexpected turn after the couple broke up.
The woman said she believed they would simply go their separate ways following the end of their three-year relationship.
However, a few days ago, she claimed that three large boxes suddenly appeared outside her home.
When she opened them, she was shocked to find that they were filled with receipts from the entire three years they had spent together.
According to her, not a single receipt appeared to be missing.
She added that the receipts had even been carefully sorted according to year and month.
Ex allegedly asked her to settle her share
Before she could fully process what she was seeing, the woman claimed that her ex-boyfriend sent her a message.
These are all the expenses from our three-year relationship. I’ve already sorted everything out.
“Please settle the portion that belongs to you. We’ll split the expenses accordingly,” the message allegedly read.
