A social media user has sparked concern online after claiming that maggots were found on pieces of grilled beef sold at a Ramadan bazaar in Sepang.
The video showed maggots crawling on the grilled beef which accompanied the nasi kerabu.
In a Threads post accompanying a close-up video of the food, the user clarified that the video was not originally recorded by them but allegedly occurred the day before.
“This isn’t my video, but this happened yesterday if I’m not mistaken. And three to four days before this maggot incident, I had already eaten their nasi kerabu! I was even licking my fingers because it was so delicious. But I’m not sure if there were maggots at that time or not.
“I want to ask, if it already has maggots like this, was the meat recycled from leftovers yesterday or what? Location: a bazaar around Sepang.

“Actually, earlier I didn’t want to mention the place too specifically. But since most people working near KLIA and Mitsui buy food from that bazaar, I’ll just say it’s around Sepang,” the user added.
Another netizen pointed out that a similar issue had allegedly occurred last year.
“Last year there was also a bazaar selling nasi kerabu with maggots. This time it’s nasi kerabu again. Why is it always nasi kerabu?” the commenter wrote.
