Manchester United captain Harry Maguire insists their Europa League hopes remain alive despite last night's collapse against Sevilla.
Sevilla will host the second-leg of the quarterfinal with the aggregare score locked at 2-2 after they fought back from 2-0 down at Old Trafford.
Maguire told UEFA: We had control throughout the game until conceding the first goal and were really unfortunate to concede the second, and to lose Lisandro with an injury. We had used all our subs and had to go down to ten men and then it's a little bit backs to the wall.
"I felt we defended pretty well, showed good spirit and good character and it looked like we were going to see the game out. And then something really unfortunate happened and we ended up drawing the game 2-2, but it's all still to play for next week.
"I felt as though all the way through to 80 minutes we controlled the game well. Don't get me wrong, I think there are some areas where we can do better. We gave the ball away a bit too much and we had numerous counterattacks where we really should be punishing them a little bit more.
"We controlled the game really well and then three big moments towards the last ten minutes of the game have gone against us. Listen, we've got to make sure we're ready for Sunday's game against Nottingham Forest and then make sure we are ready to go to Seville.
"Do what we have been doing for the majority of the season. Play well, play to the game plan, listen to the manager and go there with good tempo and good intensity. We have to go there and give everything."
