Malaysia’s compound mixed archery team advances to the 2026 Asia Cup final after a 154-152 victory over Singapore in Bangkok

KUALA LUMPUR: The national compound mixed archery team has secured a place in the final of the 2026 Asia Cup (Stage 1) in Bangkok.

Represented by Mohd Juwaidi Marzuki and Fatin Nurfatehah Mat Salleh, the Malaysian duo defeated Singapore’s Erwan Zulfaqar Salamat and Madeleine Xue Li Ong with a score of 154-152.

They will now face India’s Chikitha Taniparthi and Rajat Chauhan for the gold medal.

The Indian pair earned their final berth by defeating Kazakhstan’s Viktoriya Lyan and Bunyod Mirzametov 157-153.

In the recurve mixed team event, Malaysia’s campaign concluded at the quarter-final stage.

The pair of Ku Nurin Afiqah Ku Ruzaini and Chern Xin Quik were defeated 3-5 by Mongolia’s Oyun-Erdene Baasandorj and Otgonbold Baatarkhuyag.
