A recent heartwarming video has touched many netizens after a group of siblings pulled off the ultimate surprise for their dad on Father’s Day.
In the TikTok video posted by Meeru (@japaneseden1m), she and her family can be seen visiting an apartment, with their dad believing they were simply there to check out a newly purchased home belonging to one of the family members.
Malaysian siblings surprise dad with new home
While viewing the apartment, the eldest of the four siblings broke the news to their father that they had bought the unit for him as a Father’s Day gift.
Overwhelmed by the surprise, their father was left shocked and emotional, eventually breaking down in tears.
Speaking to WORLD OF BUZZ, Meeru recalled feeling both excited and nervous in the lead-up to the surprise. She shared that the family had to distract their dad with a Father’s Day lunch so everyone could gather at the new home before revealing the surprise.
She also shared that their eldest sister had purchased the home, while the rest of the siblings would chip in whenever and wherever needed.
“I felt very excited and nervous because it was a complete surprise. We had to distract him with a Father’s Day lunch so everyone could meet up at the new house. I felt emotional when I saw him cry because it wasn’t a reaction I expected.
There are four of us, and the eldest daughter bought the house. The rest of us will also contribute whenever and wherever needed. We all want to give back to our dad and mom for all their struggles and sacrifices, and we hope we can do much more for them in the future.”
