Minister Zulkifli Hasan ensures Malaysian haj pilgrims in Arafah receive top priority for welfare, comfort and healthcare during peak rituals.

MAKKAH: The welfare and comfort of Malaysian Haj pilgrims in Arafah remain a top priority for the country’s Haj management, with all services closely monitored to ensure the smooth running of the peak haj rituals.

Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Religious Affairs) Dr Zulkifli Hasan said the monitoring covered accommodation, logistics, healthcare and the overall well-being of pilgrims throughout the masyair operations.

He said feedback received so far showed a good level of satisfaction among pilgrims with the facilities provided, although the authorities remained open to suggestions for improvement.

“Most of the feedback received has been positive, while constructive views have also been taken into consideration as efforts to improve services for pilgrims continue,” he said after inspecting the accommodation tents and healthcare centre for Malaysian pilgrims in Arafah today.

He said healthcare personnel had shown strong commitment in ensuring pilgrims with health issues received prompt and appropriate treatment so they could continue performing their religious duties comfortably.

Zulkifli said a comprehensive approach encompassing welfare, healthcare and comfort was essential to ensure pilgrims could fully focus on their worship, particularly in Arafah, the pinnacle of the Haj pilgrimage.

At the same time, he called on Malaysians to continue praying for the well-being of the country’s pilgrims so that their Haj journey would proceed smoothly and they would be blessed with a mabrur Haj.
