Malaysia’s top pairs advance to Indonesia Masters finals, with Pearly Tan-M. Thinaah and Goh Sze Fei-Nur Izzuddin Rumsani both one win from the title.

MALAYSIA’S top women’s doubles pair Pearly Tan-M. Thinaah and professional men’s duo Goh Sze Fei-Nur Izzuddin Rumsani have stormed into the Indonesia Masters 2026 finals.

The top-seeded Pearly-Thinaah needed just 32 minutes to defeat Indonesian home favourites Lanny Tria Mayasari-Apriyani Rahayu 21-15, 21-9 in their semi-final at Istora Senayan.

They will face Japan’s Arisa Igarashi-Miyu Takahashi, who beat another Indonesian pair Rachel Allessya Rose-Febi Setianingrum 21-12, 19-21, 21-13.

A victory would make Pearly-Thinaah the first Malaysian women’s doubles pair to win the title since Vivian Hoo-Woon Khe Wei in 2011.

In the men’s doubles, fourth seeds Sze Fei-Nur Izzuddin sailed through with a 21-9, 21-15 win over Denmark’s Daniel Lundgaard-Mads Vestergaard in 28 minutes.

They will meet Indonesian duo Raymond Indra-Nikolaus Joaquin in the final.

This marks Sze Fei-Nur Izzuddin’s first final since losing to South Korean world number ones Kim Won Ho-Seo Seung Jae at the Japan Open last July.

The pairs join reigning mixed doubles world champions Chen Tang Jie-Toh Ee Wei in tomorrow’s Super 500 tournament finals.

Tang Jie-Ee Wei, the third seeds, ousted China’s second seeds Jiang Zhen Bang-Wei Ya Xin 21-17, 21-12 earlier today.

They will face unseeded Danish pair Mathias Christiansen-Alexandra Boje, who came from behind to beat Indonesia’s sixth seeds Jafar Hidayatullah-Felisha Alberta Nathaniel Pasaribu 20-22, 21-19, 21-17. – Bernama
