
Kota Kinabalu: A 57-year-old self-employed was charged with raping his stepdaughter.
The man pleaded not guilty before Sessions Court Judge Elsie Primus, to the charge against him.
He is accused of raping the 21-year-old woman at a house in a village in Kota Belud in May 2021.
The offence under Section 376(3) of the Penal Code carries a jail term of between eight and 30 years, and whipping at least 10 strokes of the cane, on conviction.
