A city police team, led by ASI Gurdev Singh, arrested a person from Factory Road near Punjab Children Academy (PCA) here late on Sunday evening with an illegal pistol along with an empty magazine.
The police on Monday said the accused had been identified as Ajmeet Singh of Naushera Pannuan.
The police have registered a case under sections 24, 54, 59 of the Arms Act in this regard.
