
Kota Kinabalu: A 31-year-old man, charged with causing grievous hurt to his sister, will go trial on March 18-19, 2024.
Sessions Court Judge Elsie Primus set the date for Mohamad Firdaus Arbi when his case was brought up for mention to fix trial date.
Firdaus is accused of causing grievous hurt to Jumat Arbi, 51, with a knife at 6.30pm on March 8, 2022 at a house in Kg Pasir Putih, Putatan.
The offence under Section 326 of the Penal Code carries a jail term of up to 20 years and liable to a fine and whipping, on conviction.

Pang Tsin Wu pleaded guilty to taking the drug on July 24 this year after his urine was tested positive for drug at the police station here. He has several conviction records for taking the drug.
No whipping had been imposed on Pang due to his age. He is over 50.
The court ordered Pang to serve the jail sentence from the date of his arrest.
After completing his jail sentence, Pang was ordered placed under police supervision for three years.
