Manchester City are closing in on a deal to sign attacking-midfielder Claudio Echeverri.
The River Plate star is set to sign for the Premier League winners on January 25th.
Per The Sun, as soon as the Argentine window opens, City will secure the deal for a 12 million fee.
Echeverri is not arriving in England anytime soon, at least on a permanent basis.
He will be loaned back to River Plate for the coming season in South America to gain experience.
The agreement is similar to how City let Julian Alvarez stay at River before eventually arriving in England.
