Manchester City defender Josko Gvardiol was delighted to play a part in winning the UEFA Super Cup.
Cole Palmer canceled out Sevilla's established by Youssef En-Nesyri before the game was taken to spotkicks. After the first nine penalties were converted Sevilla defender Nemanja Gudelj drilled his kick against the crossbar to give City victory.
Gvardiol said, "I feel good, amazing. You don't have an opportunity to fight for [silverware] every day. We had the chance and thankfully we won it.
"Sevilla are in the [Super Cup] final for a reason. We knew what a quality team they are. I think we controlled most of the game, but we did have some moments where we lost our focus. Nevertheless, I think we fully deserved to win in the end.
"I've been enjoying every single moment [at the club] so far. I feel absolutely no pressure, especially since I'm surrounded by such high-quality players and team-mates. Simply put, I do not think about anything else other than how to give my best out on the pitch, especially since I get the opportunity to learn from one of the best coaches in the world."
