Kota Kinabalu: A 24-year-old fisherman was charged with raping his underaged girlfriend.
Mohd Zhulfahta Nordin pleaded not guilty before Sessions Court Judge Elsie Primus.
He is accused of raping the 13-year-old girl between 8.25pm and 12am on Nov 20, 2022 inside a hut near a jetty in Kota Belud.
The offence under Section 376(2)(d) of the Penal Code carries a jail term of between 10 and 30 years, and whipping, on conviction.

Deputy Public Prosecutor Jessica Ombou Kakayun appeared for the prosecution while Mohd Zhulfahta was not represented.
