Man drowns in lake in Kinabatangan

KINABATANGAN: A 42-year-old man drowned in a lake near Estate Melewar, Paris 3, here, on Sunday.

The Kinabatangan Fire and Rescue Station (BBP) sent three personnel to the location some 55km from the station following an emergency call on the incident at 12.15pm.

According to the caller, the victim was fishing in the lake with his friends when it happened.

The victim was believed to have jumped into the lake to release the stuck fishing line.
