
LAHAD DATU: A 22-year-old man sustained injuries on his feet and chest in an accident involving two vehicles near Lahad Datu Health Clinic on Thursday.
It was learnt that in the about 3.20am incident, the victim’s car, a Proton Axia, crashed head on with a Proton Persona causing both vehicles skidded to the road shoulder.
State Fire and Rescue Department spokesperson said the department received a distress call at 3.27am via MERS999.
A team of from Lahad Datu Fire and Rescue Station was deployed to the scene with a fire engine and Emergency Medical Rescue Services (EMRS) vehicle.
The team provided early treatment to the victim and he was later taken to the hospital by ambulance for further treatment. The operation ended at 3.58am.
