Man injured in Lahad Datu crash

LAHAD DATU: A 47-year-old man suffered injuries when he lost control of his Four-Wheel-Drive (4WD) and skidded into the road shoulder at Km17 along Jalan Lahad Datu-Tawau, here, on Wednesday night.

State Fire and Rescue Department spokesperson said the department received a distress call about the incident at 11.02pm via MERS999.

A team of Fire and Rescue personnel was deployed to the scene in a fire engine and EMRS vehicle.

Upon arrival, the team discovered that the accident involved a 4WD that skidded into the road shoulder.

The victim was given initial treatment by medical officers from the Health Ministry (KKM) and sent to the hospital.
