Man killed, 4 hurt in Lahad Datu crash

LAHAD DATU: A 52-year-old man was killed while four others were injured when the Perodua Viva they travelling in collided with a four wheel drive (4WD) vehicle at the traffic light in Jalan Pantai, here, on Sunday.

Lahad Datu Fire and Rescue Station Chief, Sumsoa Rashid, said his department received a distress call at 3.30am via Mers999.

The team reported that the accident involved a Perodua Viva and a 4WD with five victims inside the Perodua Viva.

“The man was confirmed dead by the medical officer at the scene, while four other victims were sent to the hospital in an ambulance and EMRS vehicle for further treatment,” he said.
