Kota Kinabalu: A man in his 20s was killed and another driver seriously injured when their cars, a Nissan and a Toyota Prius, collided near the MetroTown junction on Jalan Lintas-Kolombong Tuesday.
The accident happened at about 11.40pm when the victim’s Nissan collided with the Toyota at the intersection.
It is understood the Toyota, driven by a man also in his 20s, was entering the MetroTown junction while the deceased’s Nissan was heading towards Likas from City Mall.
Emergency services rushed to the scene but the Nissan driver was pronounced dead at the site of the crash.
The Toyota driver sustained serious injuries and was taken to hospital for treatment.
City police officer Roysten and Sjn Fadzli was among the investigators who arrived at the scene to examine the circumstances surrounding the collision.
