The former Tottenham youth coach joined United last season from the FA.
He had coached England at U15 and U17 level.
However, there is already a risk of United losing Cochrane as the Daily Mail reports a number of top flight clubs are attempting to prise him away, hoping the lure of a first-team position will boost their chances.
Cochrane had a major influence on United's FA Youth Cup final triumph last season.
