The Punjab State Election Commission has appointed Manpreet Kaur, Deputy Secretary, Department of Home Affairs and Justice, Punjab, as Election Observer for the Kapurthala Municipal Corporation and Sultanpur Lodhi Municipal Council elections.
After assuming charge, Manpreet Kaur said she is committed to ensuring free, fair and transparent elections in line with the guidelines of the Punjab State Election Commission, without fear or inducement.

Soon after taking charge, she visited the strong room set up at Virsa Vihar to review election arrangements and inspect security measures.
