MANILA, Philippines — President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. on Friday led the groundbreaking ceremony for the Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila (PLM) College of Allied Health Services Building in Manila, marking a significant investment in training future health professionals.

In his speech during the groundbreaking ceremony held at the Ospital ng Maynila Medical Center in Malate, the President said the local government project would elevate the quality of healthcare services nationwide.

Marcos said the government also aimed to give underprivileged students the opportunity to study in a "great" university.

He said that the project would foster the development of highly skilled and principled medical professionals.

The five-story PLM College of Allied Health Services building features modern classrooms, laboratories, simulation rooms, research facilities, and faculty offices. It will be built at Quirino Avenue corner Roxas Boulevard in Malate.
