Marcos OKs P7.3B add’l funds for incentives of teachers, non-teaching personnel

MANILA, Philippines—President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. approved the release of an additional P7.372 billion to cover the remaining funding requirements for the 2025 Service Recognition Incentive of qualified teachers and non-teaching personnel nationwide, Malacañang said on Tuesday. In a press briefing, Palace Press Officer Claire Castro said the Department of Budget and Management (DBM) has already released the funds.

Castro said the DBM approved the corresponding Notice of Cash Allocation on Jan. 27, 2026.

With the approval of the additional cash allocation, qualified beneficiaries are set to receive the full amount of their SRI, she added.
