MALACAÑANG on Monday said President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. remains open to dialogue with anyone, especially those with whom he disagrees politically.
Speaking at a press briefing, Presidential Communications Office (PCO) Undersecretary Claire Castro said the president has consistently expressed a willingness to sit down with individuals across the political spectrum.
“Hypothetical question, but as the president said in his first podcast: anyone, anyone who does not agree with him, he is open to having a conversation to have a good understanding,” Castro said.
The statement comes after reports that Vice President Sara Duterte had met with President Marcos.
Castro said she cannot confirm whether such a meeting took place.
“The president is open to all our fellow citizens and to everyone,” she said.
