
PRESIDENT Ferdinand Marcos Jr. on Friday inaugurated the new headquarters of the Presidential Guards Group in San Miguel, Manila, recognizing the dedication and professionalism of personnel tasked with protecting the President, the first family and the nation.
The opening of the new facility highlighted the government’s continued support for the welfare and operational capabilities of the Presidential Security Command (PSC), the Presidential Communications Office (PCO) said in a statement.
“Kinilala ng Pangulo ang kanilang walang sawang paglilingkod sa pagtiyak ng kaligtasan ng Pangulo, ng Unang Pamilya, at ng bansa (The President recognized their unwavering service in ensuring the safety and security of the President, the First Family, and the nation),” the PCO said.
Marcos commended the members of the PSC for their dedication and the important role they play in ensuring the security and continuity of government operations.
He acknowledged that the responsibilities of presidential security personnel require discipline, competence and constant preparedness.
He urged them to take care of the new building and treat it as their second home as they continue carrying out their duties.
The new headquarters is expected to enhance the group’s ability to perform its mandate through improved facilities and better working conditions.
