SEMPORNA: The Marine Police Force (MPF) here seized cosmetics believed smuggled into the state via Laut Tanjung Melimpah, Pulau Bum Bum, here, on Tuesday.
Sabah Region Four Commander, ACP Nazri Ibrahim, said the team detained a white boat during Op Taring Gelora in the area.
He said upon inspection, the team discovered some big boxes containing cosmetics, believed smuggled in from the neighbouring country.
“All the seizures were estimated to be worth RM21,375,” said Nazri.
The case is being investigated under the Customs Act 1967.
