Kota Kinabalu: The State Government would consider the privatisation of public facilities which are otherwise managed by the Local Authorities (PBT).

Local Government and Housing Minister Datuk Seri Masidi Manjun said privatising facilities such as public parks and recreational centres could be feasible, provided that it does not burden its daily users.

Masidi was responding to a supplementary question by Tungku Assemblyman Assaffal P Alian who suggested for public facilities to be privatised, in order for it to be maintained well as many facilities under the PBT are poorly kept.
