MANILA, Philippines — A social media post referring to Matteo Guidicelli as a “soon-to-be daddy” has fans once again wondering if he and wife Sarah Geronimo are expecting their first child. The couple, however, has yet to confirm the pregnancy.
The post came from a Facebook user who shared a photo with Guidicelli at a coffee shop in Quezon City.
The friend was surprised when Guidicelli approached him while he was in a meeting.
“Deep in a meeting with a colleague, totally unaware someone familiar was right there until Gianmatteo Guidicelli walked up and said, ‘ka-ila gyud ko ani!’ (I know this person!),” he wrote.
The post went on to recall the pair’s shared experiences, including shoots, Airborne Proficiency Jumps and their days at the Intelligence Service of the Armed Forces of the Philippines.
Describing Guidicelli as “hindi mayabang, sobrang friendly pa” and a fellow “Tiger Rider,” the friend ended his message with a congratulatory note.
“P.S. He is soon to be a daddy. Congratulations, bro!” he wrote.
The post was later deleted, but screenshots circulated online. When a commenter asked if Geronimo was pregnant, the account replied, “Yup! Confirmed from the horse’s mouth."
The exchange, however, has not been followed by a formal announcement from Geronimo or Guidicelli confirming a pregnancy.
The latest reports follow another incident earlier this month that had fans questioning whether the couple was expecting.
On Aug. 27, Guidicelli teased a vlog that included footage of a sonogram and an ultrasound procedure.
However, the full vlog later showed that the ultrasound was part of Guidicelli’s executive checkup, and Geronimo was not shown accompanying him during the procedure.
Still, the timing of the video, coupled with the latest “soon-to-be daddy” greeting, prompted fans to revisit earlier clues and speculate about whether the couple could be preparing to become parents.
On July 25, Guidicelli greeted his wife with a birthday message saying, “Happy birthday my love! This will be the best year ever.”
Some fans interpreted the message as a possible hint that the couple was looking forward to a major milestone this year.
Geronimo and Guidicelli, who married in a private ceremony in February 2020, have previously expressed their openness to having children.
The couple has maintained that starting a family would happen in God’s perfect time, while Guidicelli has also spoken about his desire to become a father.
