
SHAH ALAM - Melaka is set to become a focal point for investment and talent development, with the government strengthening high-tech technical and vocational education and training (TVET) to create more skilled employment opportunities.
Finance Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim said the Melaka Centre of Excellence would provide dignified employment opportunities for the people through high-tech TVET training.
“The Melaka Centre of Excellence creates dignified employment opportunities for the people of Melaka through high-tech TVET training,” he said when tabling Budget 2027 at the Dewan Rakyat, today.
The Prime Minister said the government was also committed to mitigating flood risks in the state through the implementation of the River Restoration Project and the Sungai Rambai Flood Mitigation Project.
The initiatives are aimed at addressing flood risks while supporting Melaka's development and strengthening opportunities for investment and skills development.
