SHAH ALAM - The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) issued a strong wind, heavy rain and thunderstorm warning in several areas in the country until 4pm today.
The Thunderstorms, heavy rain and strong winds were forecasted in Perak (Bagan Datuk and Hilir Perak), Pahang (Bera and Rompin), Selangor (Sabak Bernam, Gombak, Petaling and Hulu Langat), Kuala Lumpur, Negeri Sembilan (Jempol and Tampin), Melaka (Jasin), Johor (Tangkak, Segamat, Muar, Kluang, Mersing and Kulai).
In a statement, MetMalaysia said the warnings were issued when there were signs that showed possible thunderstorms with high-intensity rain exceeding 20 mm/hour which was almost or expected to happen over an hour.
