Nelly Korda is currently enjoying a simply sensational start to her 2026 LPGA Tour season, which she has dominated so far.
Korda won the Riviera Maya Open last week, remarkably securing her third win in just six starts, arriving just after a major victory at The Chevron Championship.
And in her other three events, she has finished solo second twice and in a tie for second, highlighting her utter dominance of women’s golf right now.
Korda wants to keep getting better, which is a real warning to her fellow LPGA Tour players, who have unsurprisingly taken notice of her recent efforts.
That includes one-time major champion Michelle Wie West, who has been blown away by her fellow American Korda this season.
Michelle Wie West praises ‘unbelievable’ Nelly Korda
Ahead of her first round of this week’s Mizuho Americas Open, Wie West was asked for her thoughts on Korda’s run and how the LPGA Tour can take advantage of it.
She said: “Yeah, she’s unbelievable. The talent that she possesses in her pinky alone is unbelievable. The stretch of golf… I mean, we saw it a couple seasons ago too, now.
“Just every year she’s getting better and better. She seems really happy off the golf course, which is what I care about.
“I hope mainstream media really picks it up more. I think the LPGA is doing a great job of showcasing our talent. The broadcast is… us being live every week is huge.
“And just I think just do everything we can to support her and just showcase her personality as well, too. You know, I think it’s good.”

Jeeno Thitikul blown away by ‘insane golf’ from Nelly Korda
Among Korda’s stunning feats this season is a return to world number one, replacing Thai star Jeeno Thitikul.
Thitikul is also in the field for the Mizuho Americas Open at Mountain Ridge Country Club, where she is out to defend her title.
Sharing if she feels any less pressure after losing her number one ranking to Korda, she said of her title defence: “I think I don’t really have that pressure even before, now, or whatever, other players do.
“Nelly had done a very good job for the past few months, from starting the season she won it and obviously she won it in Chevron and last week in Mexico, which she plays insane golf. She deserves to be back.
“For me I do my job, do my part. I know what golf has in store for me right now, because like I don’t think my irons are going my way that much and I don’t think golf is going my way compared to last, you know, the end of the season last year.
“But obviously it’s the time that I really want to be myself more and then just let golf be more than controlling golf.
“So I think it’s just the time that… sometimes things not going your way but you have to accept it and then move on.”
Thitikul enters the tournament with one win from her seven starts in 2026, having most recently missed the cut at The Chevron Championship.
Incidentally, Korda won the Mizuho Americas Open in 2024, which now represents one of 18 career titles for the LPGA superstar.
