Nelly Korda has completely dominated the LPGA Tour in 2026, and that is no exaggeration.
Korda’s win at the Riviera Maya Open at Mayakoba was her third of the season in six starts.
In the three tournaments the 27-year-old hasn’t won, she has three runner-up finishes to her name.
Not winning in 2025 clearly didn’t sit well with Nelly Korda!
Nelly Korda was a huge fan favorite at Mayakoba this week and she rewarded the galleries with some truly exceptional golf.
The world number one posted rounds of 68, 67, 67 and 69 to win by four shots from Arpichaya Yubol.
Korda has obviously been the standout player on the LPGA Tour this year and she keeps breaking records on her quest to make history.

The 27-year-old from Bradenton is making the game look far too easy right now!
Korda’s win in Mexico was the 18th of her LPGA Tour career, and she is still yet to turn 28.
She became the first female golfer to win 18 times or more on the LPGA Tour before her 28th birthday since Nancy Lopez did it in 1980.
Of course, Lopez went on to record 48 LPGA Tour wins, three of which were major championships.
Korda has already matched Lopez’s major haul and it would be a brave move to bet against her overtaking the legendary player’s LPGA Tour win total.
It would be a surprise if she didn’t go on to win at least three more times this season.
The win-pace Nelly Korda needs to beat Kathy Whitworth’s record
Korda is currently 70 LPGA Tour victories behind the most winningest female player of all time – Kathy Whitworth.
So, if Korda is to match her total, she will need to win five times on average every season for the next 14 years.
If she manages that pace, she will match Whitworth’s record by her 41st birthday.
If she wins three times on average every year, she will have to do that consistently until she’s 50 in order to get to 87 wins, one short of Whitworth’s tally.
The most realistic target for Korda will be four wins per year for the next 17 years. That will take her to 86 wins by the time she’s 44.
It will be a tall order for Korda to beat Whitworth’s record but she definitely has the talent and ability needed to do it.
Whether she has the longevity remains to be seen.
