Mick Jagger, Eric Clapton and Harry Hill join forces to block 100m London high-rise

  • Mick Jagger has successfully opposed plans for a 29-storey high-rise development near Battersea Bridge in London, following a two-year battle.
  • The Rolling Stones musician was supported by other celebrities, including Felicity Kendal, Eric Clapton, and Harry Hill, in his fight against the 100m building.
  • Proposals for 110 luxury flats were initially rejected by Wandsworth Council and the Greater London Authority in 2025.

  • The inspector said that the building would cause a “dramatic change to the skyline” and appear “alien and isolated”, a decision Rockwell Property expressed disappointment over.
