Mid-Autumn Festival is less than a month away and Singapore’s pastry chefs are once again pushing the boundaries of tradition with inventive mooncakes. While traditional baked mooncakes still hold their charm, it’s the delicate snowskin mooncakes that continue to capture our attention.

Characterised by their soft, chewy exterior made from glutinous rice flour and their endless flavour possibilities, these mooncakes have become canvases for culinary creativity. Over the years, chefs have begun creating their own interpretations of these mooncakes. From fruit-infused truffle pairings to tea-scented lotus pastes and even alcohol-inspired creations, there’s plenty to choose from, with one for every palate.

This year, options continue to be extensive, with hotels like InterContinental Singapore dreaming up creations that honour traditional tea appreciation with its unique tea-infused lotus paste. The Capitol Kempinski Hotel Singapore has debuted its Rum & Raisin Snowskin Mooncake, offering earthy, chocolatey and boozy flavours. Speaking of alcohol-inspired mooncakes, Raffles Hotel Singapore’s iconic Champagne Truffle Snow-Skin Mooncake continues to be a staple in its snowskin mooncake lineup, alongside new boozy creations.

Whether you’re seeking something unique to share at family gatherings or a luxurious set for gifting, there’s no shortage of options. Here are some of Singapore’s best traditional baked mooncakes this Mid-Autumn Festival 2025
