The Faridabad police arrested a man for allegedly raping a 13-year-old minor student after lured her in his room under the Palla police station area. An FIR was registered and the police questioned the accused.

According to the police, the victim girl is a Class VI student. She is a native of Bihar and has been living with her maternal uncle for about six years in Faridabad.

In a complaint to the police, the victim’s family stated that on the evening of Thursday, a child in their neighbourhood was celebrating a birthday. While she was on her way to her neighbour’s house, the accused Bijendra, a neighbour, lured her into a conversation and took her to his room.

The family added that Bijendra, being their neighbour, already knew them. When the girl didn’t return home for a long time, they searched everywhere. They then checked the cameras installed in a house across the street, and saw Bijendra carrying the girl into the house. They then entered the room and searched, but could not find the girl. They then went to the rooftop and found the girl lying unconscious near the water tank.

“They gave water to their daughter who only then regained consciousness and then recounted the incident. She said that Bijendra had taken her to his room and forcibly raped her and she then fainted,” the family members said in the complaint.

Following the complaint, an FIR was registered at the Palla police station under POCSO act and police arrested the accused. “The arrested accused Bijendra (36) is also from Bihar. We are questioning the accused,” said inspector Satya Prakash, SHO of the Palla police station.
